Future Plans
The nutrition program is our first step toward a broader commitment to supporting children, young people, and families in underserved communities.
As this work develops, we are also examining the challenges young people in our communities face. Among these are limited opportunities, uncertainty about the future, and the growing impact of substance use.
We hope to develop simple, practical programs that give young people a place to learn, reflect, build self-awareness, and develop a stronger understanding of themselves and their direction in life.
Through our connection with the Gayathri Peedam, we are also exploring ways to make its peaceful environment and spiritual practices available to young people who may benefit from them — without imposing a particular path or belief.
These are areas we are still developing. We believe the most meaningful programs should grow from listening to the people and communities they are intended to serve.
For now, we begin with what we can do, learn from the experience, and grow step by step.
Youth & Livelihoods
We want to explore practical ways of helping young people develop skills, gain experience and find opportunities to earn. Our focus will be on practical participation rather than simply lectures or discussions. We are particularly interested in opportunities for young people who may not have formal qualifications or previous work experience.
Environment & Community
We believe that supporting people and protecting the environment are connected. Future work may include tree planting, ecological restoration, water-related initiatives and other practical environmental projects that can involve local communities.
Skills & Self-Reliance
We want to explore projects that help people become more capable of supporting themselves and their families. This could include vocational skills, small-scale enterprise, digital skills, self-employment and access to practical resources.
Education
Education is not limited to what happens in a classroom. We hope to support opportunities for children and young people to learn, develop skills and discover possibilities that may not otherwise be available to them.
Growing Responsibly
There are many areas where help is needed. We cannot work on all of them at once. FORWARD will therefore grow step by step, beginning with projects that we believe we can actually deliver and sustain. As new programmes become real, they will move from this page to our Projects section. Until then, these remain areas we are exploring and developing.
The idea is simple: Don't promise everything. Do something. Learn from it. Then move forward.
